Can anyone recommend a memory storage device ( sorry, I'm ignorant on technical terms) which is lightweight and suitable to download my photo's until I get them home to put on the laptop. The laptop is too bulky to take on holiday as hand luggage, particularly since the camera and lens are priority !
I could buy more compact flash cards, and although they have the advantage of being lightweight, they work out very expensive.
I would probably need about 60-80 gb. I can easily use a 4 gb card in a day.
I presume I am not alone with the problem so any recommendations please.

For a recent trip I bought one of these :-Wolverine (http://secure.serverlab.net/shop/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=8060&Category_Code=FlashPro&Store_Code=T00107)

I didn't want a viewer for my pictures, I just wanted a simple method of downloading my CF cards. It works a treat, no problems what so ever, you just switch it on, insert your card and press the copy button. When you attach it to you PC it acts just like an external hard drive.

I have used the other features so cant comment on the MP3 or Radio sounds.

Thanks Outboard. I have checked out E bay to see what's available. Similar devices available, although not many, but none say they take compact flash 111 cards, only 1 &11. The Wolverine looks good but is quite pricey.

Riola,

If you own a ipod, stick them on that, all you need is a adapter.

Compact Flash 111: Are you referring to Sandisk Extreme 111 CF cards - if so the 111 is only part of the brand name as these cards are CF 1. ;)
