Another drizzling day in Hong Kong has given me some time to do more testing with cameras and eyepieces.
I mentioned a while ago that the Kowa eyepiece will fit on the Swarovski scope, although without locking. This meant that I could more value out of the Kowa 27x LER eyepiece that I had bought and never used in the field.
Using the Televue eyepiece adapter (three screw job ) with 52 mm adapter , I fitted it to the A640 (previously I had used the Kowa adapter ).
The vignetting disappears at 12.9 mm and doesn't reappear. I have to be a bit careful near the end of the camera zoom as the two glass elements will touch if I'm not careful. Here is the test image at 12.9 mm.
It would be interesting if any Kowa users out there could test a new 6x zoom Canon camera with this eyepiece.
