Hello,
More plants from the garden taken this week.
Pic 1 - I've looked at Pansies and Violets but the leaves are different. It's tiny and looking at the pic now the leaves look hairy, but they aren't.
Pic 2 - I thought this was a Forget Me Not but again I can't find one that colour in the centre.
Pic 3 - a huge bush.
Any help is very welcome.

Cheers
Jen :stuck:

Your second one looks like it's in the Borage family (Bugloss etc).

Hi Jen, the Viola looks like one of the leggy, short lived ones, probably V. tricolor (Heartsease).

The second is as Alastair suggests an Anchusa (Bugloss) not to be confused with the Vipers Bugloss which is in a different, though related genus.

The third is correctly named too.

That's all three in the 'named' file - many many thanks everyone.
The Viola has just one flower and survives in the middle of a very bleak and unprotected piece of meadow.
I was especially interested to read that the Orange Blossom is meant to smell of orange. I haven't noticed any scent - is there a particular time of year for this?
