I have a fuji F610, would that be any good for digiscoping. The lens on this camera moves in and out when focusing so would this make it unsuitable. If so what makes a camera good for digiscoping in terms of specifications/features.

This Fuji should work ok (most digicams lenses are external these days ) . Have a look at the Adapters threads to see different ways of connecting it. Neil.

I have just seen a review on this camera, and from what I can see, it should work very well for digiscoping, it has a nice continuous speed of 3.3fps, all the manual settings required.
Canīt help with the adapter, as I always make my own, to suit the camera at hand.
Neil has given sound advise on this. Ernie

Thanks for that. I am about to buy my first spotting scope and have decided on the Nikon ED82A, that is going to cost me enough without spending another Ģ200 quid or so on a new camera as well. (well not just yet anyway!!!) ;)
