I am about to embark on the world of digiscoping, and am waiting on myBushnell Elite to arrive. My digital camera will most probably be the Nikon 5100 but I am going to need plenty of help please. Any tips therefore will be very welcome especially with regards to adaptors etc.

Many thanks

Best piece of advice, is do a search for Nikon 5100 and read those threads. You will be suprised that alot already has been covered been fellow members regarding the camera and camera settings. Then, next best thing, take your gear into your back yard and do some testing. Once you come to something you quite dont get or want to improve, then ask your question(s).

As far as adapters go, I'd look for a universal adaptor. Something like: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/403807-USA/Radian_DCARD2845_Small_Digiscoping_Adapter_f_.html Of corse you might also want to invest in a cable release setup as well.

I'm currently using the same camera (different scope) but I'm using the universal adapter, a Kaiser strap-on cable release http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=cart&A=details&Q=&sku=109447&is=REG and cable release cable (hmmz sounded weird) and seems to work pretty well for me so far..

Happy Digiscoping!!

Most of the info is covered in the threads. The adapter could be the

on the camera with an adapter on the scope.
