Could someone tell me, in a program that reads a camera's EXIF data, what all the numbers and letters in certain columns mean?

You have rows and columns telling you what focal length the lens was, whether the flash fired and the return light was detected, the exposure, the number of times the shutter has fired through the camera's life to date, etc and you also have lots of letters and numbers in some rows e.g.: 00 32 33 5D AA A8 and so on. What does this mean? I'm pretty curious about it.
