dove point leasowe : 1 little egret, 6 grey plover, marine lake west kirby : red brested merganser 2, 1m 1f .
27/01 hilbre island: 1 shag, 1 guillemot, 1 razorbill,2 r t diver,common scoter ,1f peregrine, 40+ purple sands + good numbers brent goose.

highlight of the day was this female merlin takeing a adult lapwing in flight.
1 f merlin, 1 f hen harrier,1 m stonechat, 5 avocets,good numbers of snipe.
pintail,shoverler,wigeon,2 stock dove. 1 m green winged teal.

a very wet day on the wirral
27/04 hoylake langfields,
1 m lesser whitethroat, 1 blackcap, 1 yellow wagtail, egret still distant.
leasowe paddocks, 5 yellow wagtail, 3 whimbrel,14 white wagtails, NO sign of the m redstart. good numbers of whitethroat, sedge warblers at both sites.

last day of the month and what a disaster, 30/04/2008 spend on the wirral at gilroy nature park/hoylake langfields/leasowe common /meols /red rocks .just to name a view, missed all our target birds, and we never even had a pint B (: birds seen today and NOT by us include 1 hobby, 3 garden warblers, 2 redstart, 7 tree pipits.NO sign of yesterdays reported turtle dove.

11/may 2008, after haveing my tooth pulled friday, and getting up sat with a slight fever, and severe gum swelling birding merseyside for this weekend was post poned :C, thats until i got a telephone call wanting to no if i wanted to go and see my fav bird, RED-FOOTED FAlCON west yorks.

a trip to marshside (g i jane still present and showing well) then a qwick telephone call( red- rumped swallow leasowe now )and we were off after picking up 1 of the gang and checking the pager ( r b shrike formby) nice.after a qwick diversion to the red -backed shrike it was on to leasowe.

1 ad m red- backed shrike:t: near old tip north of moss lane 200 yds inside merseyside. 2 singing quail.

12 redpoll 16 siskin over leasowe horse paddocks 10-12 little egrets on the coast between leasowe and red rocks guillemot and razorbill noted

30 nov 2008 marshside rspb highlights 7 whooper swans flew NNE at 3.05pm now a very scarce merseyside bird.
3 f merlins 1 common buzzard and NO harriers.
