Nikon Coolpix p5100 compatibility

My Nikon Coolpix 995 recently gave up on me. I'm intending to buy the new p5100 but wondered if the threads to attatch lens / scope adaptors are the same? Anyone know?

The P5100 has an external lens so you need to get an adapter for it
http://www.camerafilters.com/detail.aspx?ID=2654 is a third party adapter which has a 52 mm thread to attach to scope adapter. The Nikon adapter gives you 28 mm.
