I am looking to get a new digital camera to attach to my scope. Since I don't have lots of money to spend I was thinking about the Nikon Coolpix L11 or L15. Has anyone any idea if any of these cameras would be suitable for digiscoping? Since they are both part of the nikon coolpix range which seem to be rather good for this purpose I am hoping they will be suitable so if anyone has any experience with either of these cameras then I would appreciate anything you have to say on the subject.

I can't speak for either of these but it's worth considering the Canon A95 as well - it can be had for £70-80 now and is a well regarded digiscoping camera.

I am selling my camera-its a Samsung Digimax i5 and is complete with:-
memory card
bespoke cradle mount
cable release & arm
2 Li-ion batteries
12 volt car charger & standard charger
Used literally 3 times from conservatory but I really only use DSLR. Cost me £300-will accept £125 plus postage if you are interested

I've decided to have a closer look at the cannon.

I have a used Canon A95, in perfect working order that could be yours for not vey much if you are interested. It is capable of taking excellent pictures, though I rarely use it any more as I now have 2 newer cameras.

Seems a shame not to see it being used. Pm me if you're interested and I can send photos and further info if you need it.

Thanks for the info guys. After some more searching I have just ordered the Sony DSC W55. I believe this will suite my needs.
