Nikon D300 experience out there?

I'm getting ready to buy a Nikon D300 and want to be able to use it for digiscoping. I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who has tried it for this and how it worked for them. Is vignetting a problem?

When you say "use it for digiscoping" do you mean:
a) use the camera with a lens on to take pictures through the scope with an eyepiece on; or
b) use the camera with the eyepieceless telescope as the prime lens?

If you check out nikons digiscoping website you'll see some stuff to allow b) but I think a) will get you a lot of vignetting.

I've tried the D3 . I got some vignetting in FX (full frame ) mode not in DX mode where you'll be with the D300.
The attached test was taken at home with the TLS adapter for the scope.
