Hello i am looking into buying either the D300 or the D2x i am looking for speed of focusing for flight shots and smaller moving birds. the thing is with this liveview thing i would think that the camera would be slower in general but i do not know. I know that the D2x is a great camera and i am hearing that the new D300 is better??? does anyone have any expeirience with both D2x and the D300. They are around the same price if i get a D2x used so if anyone has any helpful Information please share thank you>

I use a D2Xs and a D300. Love the crop capabilitie of the D2 and the vertical grip...But the 300 is awesome you cant go wrong with it. AF excellent, colors great and noise..no noise. That is the main reason to get it and price...It cheaper..

I have the D2x ( now the D3 ) and have shot with the D300. It's much better than the D2x for bird photography and fast action. The AF is awesome.
