The main diffrerence seems sto be XD glass in the Vipers. At 8x, I think not a big deal, but maybe less CA at 10x. The Fury

The Viper, strangely, is a bit lighter.

I want the Fury 8x32!
Better FOV than other mid-priced 8x32s, and maybe even actual long eye relief.
Plus, IPD of 55-76.
Check out the specs on the Vortex site.

They are listed at 16 mm for eye relief. The Viper 8 x 42s are listed at 20 mm for eye relief. I personally find I need about 18 mm of eye relief, at least the way vortex measures things, so I would view the Fury model you listed as providing marginal eye relief.

For some reason, most 8x32 roofs listed as having 16mm of eye relief really only have about 12mm. I have found that an honest 16mm of eye relief is sufficient for me -- maybe because of my face shape, glasses size, etc.

I know what you mean. The Zeiss 8x32 FL and Nikon 8x32 HG/LXL are notable for delivering the eye-relief that they claim.
