Near to the White Horse Free House pub in Hedgerley, Bucks (near to Gerrards Cross), a walk in an RSPB site on sunday revealed a female Great Spotted Woodpecker in tree tops about 40metres from the path, a Green Woodpecker in a field with about 40 Redwing all on the ground, and on the way home along the roadside, a Barn Owl perched in a tree about 7 metres up at the roadside unperturbed by passing cars, and we passed it several times and it was magnificent.

Thanks for that Dave, this reserve always was good for woodpeckers and it's nice to know it still is. Takes me back (to my native county). Not many people used to go to Hedgerley, guess they still don't.
