Dipping Out !!!

How is this for a dip-out list for 6 months and within a 40 mile radius of ones house !

Pectoral Sandpiper ( 3 of ).
Buff-breasted Sandpiper .
Great Grey Shrike .
Grey Phalarope .
Hen Harrier .
Hawfinch .
Crossbill .
Greater Egret .
Yellow Browed Warbler .
Spotted Crake .
Mederterainian Gull.
Yellow-legged Gull .
Purple Heron ( at my local patch !!! )
Black Necked Grebe .
Red Rumped Swallow .
Temmicks Stint .

If it wasn't for the fact that in it's length it is impressive , you could get quite down about it , couldn't you ? ** sobs **

I went for most of them ... but my wife's pregnancy and now my daughter being born has vastly effected my " freedom " to vanish for hour after hour when-ever I feel like ... but it is , of course , well worth it , plus I bet most of you who are parents have missed your fair share of rareities too due to family commitments , eh ?

... oh yes , due to being at work today and yesterday I have missed 5 Yellow-legged Gulls , an Iceland Gull and yet another Ring-billed Gull !!

:'D ... so , it's not just me then ? ... ho yeah , add Ring-billed Gull to that list too ... was going for it yesterday but apparently it hasn't been seen now for over 24 hours !

I'm now at 'the other end' of your problem now Jado, with my 2 now 17 and 20 (at these ages you find parental responsibility becomes that of being a 'taxi driver'...although I'm not always available..."I cant pick you up, I'm 90 miles away,birding..Ha Ha!!" etc).
