View Full Version : Bittern In The Mist

Can anyone save my Bittern? I don't have any photoshop software and would like to set this challenge to anyone who can save this image.

I was unfortunate enough to visit Norfolk during a real pea-souper, and was forced to take images through the thick mist.

I'd be surprised if anyone can, but when I see twigs etc being removed from images then I'm not so sure.

Anyway, thanks if you can.

Bad luck with the weather, isn't it a great bird though. Here's my best attempt, would probably be easier to work with the full image.

Don't ask me what I've done, as it was in PSP7, at work, and I can hardly remember how to use it... I use PElements 5 normally, at home.

Might have another go at home, later.

Here's my attempt. Done using Picasa2. I clicked one button, the "I'm feeling lucky" button. If you don't have any editing software you should have Picasa. It's a FREE download from Google. Not as complex as Photoshop and the like but really easy to use.

Here's my attempt - just adjusted levels, contrast, brightness, unsharp mask and tweaked levels again for luck.

Thanks all. A couple of you have asked me to send the original. I'll do this when I suss how. At the minute it's trying to send an image the size of Norfolk!
