I was sitting on the dock in the bay this morning photographing Little Egrets and Reef Egrets when I got a telephone call. As I was talking, one of the egrets decided to do a circuit of the harbour and fly near me. I picked up the D3 with one hand and fired off about 13 frames (Jpeg plus RAW). I didn't expect much out of them but I was surprised to find that I had the bird in the frame for 10 out of the 13 and they were acceptably focused. What a great camera. Neil.
