Hi I thought I'd join the forum as it looked interesting...and also to ask a question...Im going to Suffolk for a week soon...Ive never been there before. Can anyone advise me of some good places to go birdwatching while Im there? Im going to be staying near Dunwich I think. I'll visit Minsmere and Walberswick, but I was just wondering where else would be interesting...Thanks.

Dunwich heath - Dartford warbler. I got my first ever there on my recent visit. Minsmere should be warming up a bit by now too.
Thats all i know perhaps a local could offer some more advice

You should get some ideas from these two websites:
http://www.suffolkwildlife.co.uk/reserves.htm
http://home.clara.net/ammodytes/
The Lounge Lizards site and Suffolk Birding with BINS which is linked from it are both kept up to date and are informative.
Hope this helps.

Hi there, depending on where you are going, other good places in March/April are Trimley Marshes near Felixstowe, Alton Water, and the Orwell/Deben Rivers. Further inland Lackford Lakes (SWT) is good and Thetford Forest. Hope this helps. Suffolk is Nice!!!!
