Now you just want to make us all jealous - lucky you. Whenever I travel that far to see birds they go into hiding or fly elsewhere!

Well done Seb.
As I said in my first ever post what a fantastic county Devon is for wildlife, I love the place.
You must invest in a good camera or if you have one take a few shnapps for us.

Hi Seb,
Well done!Would be 5 Irish ticks there for me:American Robin,Glossy Ibis,Bearded Tit,Dusky Warbler and Cirl Bunting(Cirl has never been recorded in Ireland, and is perhaps unlikely to occur? How dispersive/migratory are they?Know there have been a few on the Northern Isles.)
Have seen Cirl and Bearded Tit in Bulgaria, though.

Seb,

That is a wonderful list, I have had nine of those birds this December too. I mean specifically the same birds you saw. Well done!

Admittedly there was no skill involved.
I just followed the pager!
What's the point in getting cold and wet trying to find your own birds when if your a twitcher you can hop out the car, trample across private fields, upset local residents and nost importantly really irritate anti-twitchers and STILL be back in your B+B for Neighbours at 5.30pm and then slaughtered in the pub by 9pm?

Blimey, Seb, that's almost a total mop-up of all the specialities on offer down here. The only one that's missing as far as I can see is the Marazion Bittern and I'm bit surprised not to see GND on the list, but, depending on where you live, these may not be unusual for you!

Wow thats a fair list Jane. 6 OBPipit - must be a record even for Fair Isle? I've yet to see one and yet to visit Fair Isle (or thinking about it any of the Northern Isles ... in fact I've only been to Scotland twice).

It was a pretty exceptional day..and its was shorts and T-shirt weather. One of the OBPs was in a chicken run with a YBW!
