VR Primes - anyone got one?

Has anyone actually got one of the new 500mm or 600mm VR primes yet? Would love to know how their performing vs the older ones (assuming someone is in a position to make the comparison), just as a matter of curiosity though.

I did notice that on WHE the 600mm VR is only £500 more than the older non-VR one (although where's the 500mm, didn't see it). Surely a no-brainer if you had the mind and money to get a large prime so what will happen to the older one's I wonder?

I think that if you search the dpreview nikon lens forum, you'll find a few threads of interest. From what I've read, I believe that the main difference is the VR, although they also focus a bit closer and maybe have less flare due to the nano crystal coating.

The AFS II versions are much cheaper second hand; Grays are selling a near mint copy of the 600mm for £3995, and Aperture Photographic sold a 500mm recently for about £3500.
