We are thinking of going to Farne Islands but probably can't get there till mid-late June
Are the Puffins and Gannets still there in quantity?
Thanks

I think that late-June/early July is the best time to visit.

As Alan said, late June - early July is probably the best time to visit the Farnes. I used to take school groups across there in mid-July and it's still pretty good then. I've already got clients booked for a Farnes trip in late July so I'll be visiting at a time when I haven't previously.
Gannets aren't resident on the Farnes, so numbers are usually dependent on how many are moving between the Bass Rock and feeding areas to the south of the Farnes.

Farnes are really great, but you wont see gannets there except the odd ones flying past. You MUSTgo up the coast to the Bass Rock for gannets.
