Need help choose used Camera & Lens

I need a DSLR Camera for taking pics of Birds & Dragonflies
and then Butterflies Insects etc and most Wildlife in that order

I have around £400 to spend Canon, Nikon, Sony, maybe others ?

This is what I think I need
1. 10 mil pix
2. 80 to 300mm telephotos lens auto focus ?

I don't need a wide angle or smaller lens at the moment
as I would like to put the maximum money into camera/telephoto

I just want really sharp pictures

Well as no one has replied then I will. I think you may have to raise your budget a tad Terry. Or save up a bit more.
Both Canon and Nikon are relatively expensive. Sony, I believe, have recently taken over Minolta and released a new range of cameras so they won`t be cheap either.
I suspect you will probably need about £500.00 before you start looking in earnest.
Maybe a G9 ? Not that I have any experience of that camera nor it specs.

After reading through some other posts and sales outlets ebay etc
I have raised it to £715 i now like the Canon 450 d Camera but which
lens ??

OK got the Canon 450d with efs 18-55 and ef 70-300 usm
Out next few days testing and learning lovely set-up pleased at the moment
