Hi
If there is anybody out there with an interest in all things mossy, we are currently putting up a website to help identify problem bryophytes! It is in its infancy e.g. only one moss up so far but more to come. Any suggestions welcome.

Change the Bryoecology website header colour (to eg white, yellow or other pale colour)!
Good idea (thou I'm personally more into epiphytic lichens). Macroscopic id pics would also be appreciated.

Apologies, this is supposed to look better than this!!! - will do necessary adjustments. A bit new to web-site design!

Hi Fraser, i'm interested in mosses, lichens, use them in my garden. With all the new construction, I move moss and lichen stone into my garden. Reside in NJ, USA , lakeside property. Good luck with your site! bob

Now it looks better. Ten percent of folks have some colour deficiency (I am redblind), & we usually dismiss the point of colourful presentations (as eg. I often mix brown, green & red)

Nice to hear that. (In Finland) Many lawners want to get rid of moss - I think it feels barefoot better than grass.

Hi Fraser
I have Bookmarked your site and am waiting for more. Seeing you are north of Watford may I suggest any of the Splachnums, which are among my favourites, would be of special interest.

Me too. I hate the way lawn growers pile on chemicals. Unimproved grasslands get glorious waxcaps too. There is a current fashion for wild flower meadows. I wonder how long before people want waxcap meadows?
