We're going to the mawgan area of cornwall in a week and I'm wondering if anyone knows any good birdings sites in the Mawgan area?

Hi, I live near Perranporth so the Newquay area is my local patch, so try Porth reservoir for ducks and gulls - even though it is quiet at the moment.
Also look at West Pentire Head near Crantock - skylarks, spotted flycatcher, blackcap, warblers, med gull + other gulls, buzzard and peregrine plus tits and finches - a really good spot especially earlier in the day before the holidaymakers get up!!

I think he means Mawgan nr Helston, not Mawgan Porth near Newquay. :t:
