Crikey John, you put this on a bit late! Only just seen it but you are probably on your way now!?
Anyway for what its worth, Mullion is a good base for quite a few places, not least Lizard Point for seawatching and Choughs. Theres croft Pascoe pool for raptors and Nightjar. Kynance Cove for Dartford Warbler and Helford River to the north east. Loe Pool nr Helston for duck etc. Have a look at the Birding site Map (http://www.cornwall-birding.co.uk/cornwall-birding-site-map/)on Cornwall Birding website. ps. bring your waterproofs the weather is crap down here at the moment!
