A wander along part of my local patch this morning with BF's Colin J
With a light breeze and only a few clouds today was definitely an improvement on the recent weather, and with the tide still some way to go before it's full low point it was a very pleasant morning.
In fact a very good morning for me, thanks to colin's prescence, with id pointers on various things including Rock Pipit, which in all likeliness would've forever remained a Meadow-ish Pipit if left to me. Other good bits were a female Marsh Harrier, a Little Grebe, 2 (??) Little Egret, a few Pintail ducks out on the mud plus lots of Wigeon. The 3 Skylark were nice to see & a year tick, as were the 4 female Pochard and the Knot.
As I'd forgot to take a pen & paper I haven't a full count but certainly more than it would have been on my own.
Yes a good morning ... & also good to finally meet up colin and put a face to a name.
