Busy Feeding!

Well its been one of the busier feeding days in our garden
for a good few days, is it that our featherd freinds sense a change of weather on the way? or they are going to give the weekend a miss because its the big
count!!! hope you all have fun and a good counting weekend. :t:

Well about an hour ago I counted 17 goldfinches on and under the feeders - I reckon they are just stocking up then they can desert me tomorrow when I do the RSPB count. However if they try this on, I'm prepared to scrap those answers and spend another hour on Sunday.

It's been really busy here too. The pine grosbeaks are eating everything in sight except the suet! They've even started eating the seed bells that used to be the woodpeckers' domain. Needless to say, the 'peckers aren't too impressed with this change!
Yesterday, I spotted 5 common redpolls feeding with the grosbeaks. Not seeing too many of them this year so this was a nice treat.
