Someone posted this to a digiscoping forum in Flickr recently and I have to say it looks neat but I like the idea of having the camera separate and upgradeable. I do however like how they have moved both coarse and fine focus to around the barrel instead of on top.
I would rather see Zeiss make a dedicated point and shoot camera that integrates with a digiscoping system than a digiscope specific camera. But I'm not much of a purist. :D

From that video clip we learn that it has focal length (equivalent) of 600-1800mm. We'll have to wait until Spring 2009 to learn how the image quality compares with other setups.

I wonder how it achieves that wide range, whether it's all optical or a combination of optical and digital zoom.
