Grouse

I'm planning a few days in the Snowdonia area at the end of the month.

Does anyone have any recomemndations for good birding localities at this time of year ? Black Grouse would be nice.

You may see Black Grouse in the Gwydyr south and Tyn y Cwm woodlands. These areas are the younger parts of the forest where moorland meet trees and are the habitats favoured by the grouse.

Coed Llandegla forest is another top site aswell but this is more near Wrexham than Snowdonia..

Had black Grouse on the road from Bala to Lake Vrynwy last year. RSPB at Lake Vrynwy as well.
