Frost makes a Difference.

A cold Frosty start.
The birds were out in force today, 6-40am went to feed the tribe before work first on the scene blackbird after sultanas, followed by another 8. then came robin, 1 song thrush was then chased of by blackbirds. put out apples, then put out fresh water and of to work. my wife keeps a daily list of the garden visiters.
so this is here list for today.

Blackbirds 12.

blue tits 2.

coaltit 1.

Great tit 1.

greenfinches 10.

chaffinches 14.

starlings 20+
Housesparrows 30+

collared Doves 8.

Dunnocks 2.

It's been very busy here too Bert - one of the advantages of cold weather !!

I was working from home today, so kept an eye on activities - having done the normal filling rounds this morning, and I had to do a top up trip this afternoon, greedy blighters !!!

Sounds as though we had a similar mix of birds .... apart from the starlings and houseparrows. We've also had the long tailed tits and a great spotted woodpecker.

Finally a real dawn chorus today- Nuthatch, song thrush,blackbirds, robins, greenfinch,coal great and blue tits and wren and dunnock!!! Loveeeeelly:)
