Hi, needing advice on how to get photos of the owls on my property. I have the Barn Owl, a Grey type owl, and the Great Horned Owls all here. I have photographed a Great Horned Owl but she was nesting in our yard and didn't mind us so that wasn't too hard. Now I live elsewhere on 240 acres of wooded and pasture land. One owl stays in the area we call the park so know it's location just hard to find yet due to leaves. How do most of you get Owl pics? At night, during the day or late evening? It shouldn't be long until they start nesting..the one I saw before had her babies in January-February and I watched them until they left the nest in March-April.
Just curious as to the best approach on this from others. Trial and errors etc, what worked, what didn't.
Thanks :)
