I have had numerous problems lately with getting good images using the Canon SD890IS and my brand new Kowa883 scope. I have the tsnda4 and da-10 adapters, and a strong tripod.

What is the absolute best digital PandS camera out there at this time? I will only be using up to 2.5x digital zoom (as I have been told using more creates more blur). 10mp is fine. Any brand.

I have reviewed so many forums, posted so many messages, and read so many opinions lately, my head hurts. I am already frustrated with the blurred and soft images at only 20x on the scope (even with the fluorite eyepiece):cat:, and 2.5x on the camera. Camera preferably would have remote shutter release capability (built in, not manual) - have image stabilization, and aperature/shutter priority ability.

Does any such beast exist? If not, what is the closest?

I have been very pleased with the results using a Kowa TSN 824 with a Ricoh GX 100 digital camera. Ricoh do an attachment which fixes onto Kowa's own camera attachment.

Have you posted any images taken with this set-up anywhere? If not, could you? I am also looking for a good P&S for my new Kowa!

Thanks

Dave

not sure if its the best, but its right up there in my estimation.. Nikon P6000

take a look at this guy's fotostream - http://www.flickr.com/photos/mcbrian/

he uses a Kowa 883 & the P6000 & i must say his results are quite brilliant..

considering this 'double act' myself..
