I wonder what would be a good camera for my Nikon 82mm ED scope?
It is fit with a 30x eye piece. I have no adaptor.

If your primary goal is to take nice pics then I recommend one of the Nikon D60/90/700 dslrs with the FSA-L1 adapter. You will shoot in Aperture Priority mode with full metering and exposure control. Of course, focus is manual via the fieldscope. FX/DX focal length is 1000/1500mm @ f13.

Hi Rick,
thank you for your advice...
I am currently fully geared with DSLR by Canon....don't want another such expensive and bulky camere....I was hoping for a smaller point and shoot camera. I used to have Nikon 4500 but it gave up the ghost.

Well, I am not keen on the current Nikon digicams. Their software user interface became "retarded' after your 4500 model. Some folks are still coaxing great pics out of the P5100 + FSB-6 adapter though and that would be the easiest to adapt to a Nikon fieldscope.
You could kludge a long rail with a ball head to position a Canon A590IS behind your scope. But that ends up being heavier and harder to use than the D40/60 + FSA-L1 combo!
good luck,
Rick

How about getting the Fujifilm F31d and custom made adapter like mine ?
