I have just taken a photo of some of the feeders in my garden. In the foreground is the new pole, with 3 feeders for niger seed , 1 for sunflower hearts and 1 for black sunflower seeds. In the background at the left is the thing we call "The Monstrosity". It has black sunflower, mixed seed and peanut feeders. To the right of the new feeder is the squirrel proof bird table, and on the far right, hanging from a pole attached to the house is another squirrel proof feeder. It is too far away from the house and the hedge for a squirrel to leap onto, and if it tries to approach from above, the green cover slides down to protect the nuts - they don't bother to try this now.

What a good setup, Elizabeth. I may have to try some of your ideas! Looks like you've got a lovely yard.

About noon today!!! The ground is green, because our so-called lawn is nearly all moss, and the hedge/trees in the background are hollies.

The colours in the photo are exactly as taken - my husband had a look at it when I was cropping it, and tried enhancing it by brightening the colour, but I didn't like it - so it truly is that colour.

EXTRA!

The sun was shining directly onto the hedge when I took the photo -
I just went out again (in the rain, now) to have another look - there are some very bright green shoots poking out through the holly - this is the honeysuckle starting its new growth. Also I was exaggerating rather to say the lawn was nearly all moss - there is a lot of moss but there are patches of grass that should have been mown by now, so they enhance the green effect.
