I'm off to Combe Martin (North Devon) in March, what can I see????

Birds, seals, deer etc???

I'll be doing plenty of coastal walks, and a few inland.

Try Islay Marsh and Fremington Creek for waders as well as all sorts of other birds including passerines and ducks. You may see seals at the far end as well as a diver or two. There is a spot called Bursdon Moor too, I have never been myself, and it is good for raptors and the odd owls. Probably see a Merlin there. Try Tamar Lakes, antoher place I have yet to go, for ducks and small waders. Devonians have been going there for their year Willow Tit ticks. Also try Baggy Point for some coastal birds and just maybe a Dartie. A day trip to Lundy would be recommended too, even if you did not succeed with anything rare it will be a trip to remember. I am going there soon for my first time in the hope of ticking Puffin.

You would do well to buy 'Where to Watch Birds in Devon & Cornwall'
