Just a quick thread for a quick question.
I havent really been using optics and tripods for long and both my camera and scope attatch to my tripod with a screw thread, so when I recently aquired this I wasnt sure what to do with it!!
I recognised the name on it, Cullmann, but not the attatchment on the head which consists of a small metal lock that retracts when a large green button is pushed in. For all I know it may be a popalar attatchment for something, but like I said, I'm not familiar with it so I thought I'd ask you lot cos' your all so clever!!
Also, I have to apologise for the quality of the picture as I dont own the latest model in digital cameras, its just a basic Polariod Digital 320 that I purchased so I could put a picture with the items that I sell on ebay.
Thanks for the help.

You have a piece missing.
From the pic, it appears to the the head of a Cullmann shoulder pod ( old version ). The missing piece is a metal plate which is tapered, and has a 1/4" screw through the middle.
This plate fits onto the head in either of 2 directions, allowing the camera to be attached in either landscape of portrait mode.

I've seen similar in Jessops. Might be an idea to take the pod in, and try some for size.
