Don't know if this should go here...
I was wondering which berry producing plants/shrubs/trees/weeds(3:-) ) would attract the most Cedar Waxings. -Ken

Ken, before you plant anything to attract waxwings there is an e-mail I would like to forward to you from the SD listserv. We had a large die-off of cedar waxwings in South Dakota last year, and it turned out they were being poisoned by cyanide in the plants they were eating, ornamental crabapple and cotoneaster being the prime suspects. Although these plants will surely attract waxwings, they can apparantly be fatal if eaten in sufficient quantities. If you (or anyone else who reads this post) are interested let me know and I will be glad to forward the findings of the scientists who performed these studies. I would post them as an attachment if I weren't such a dunderhead and could figure out how to do it!

Hi Ken,
In Arizona, your best bet is probably junipers - you have several native species.
