Scientists have reported a strange twist in the tale of Europe’s harbinger of spring the Common Cuckoo. Not so silly as it sounds. I have heard a cuckoo calling ooo-cuck on the north side of inner Loch Hourn from the path on the south side in June 1982. I don't believe it was unique.
