Hello, Just thinking about having a day at Slimbridge for the first time to take some photos of the wildfowl, wondering what kit to take (ie lens) Is it worth taking a long lens (Sigma 150-500) or would i be better with a 55-250 IS lens ? I really dont have any idea what to expect and how close the wildfowl will be.
If anyone can advise me i would be grateful.
Thanks, Geoff.

Depends on what you hope to shoot? If you are happy with lots of Moorhen, Ducks, Swans and the like then the 250 will be ok as these will be all around your feet so to speak. When you get into the hides (particularly the Kingfisher) you will need to stretch it a bit. I have the 100-400 and think that's undergunning when at Slimbridge.
