Help !!!

Hi, I am new here and i have a few questions. I have own a green cheek conure for about a year now. There had been problems with it's diet that i think lead to feather problems. Like black spot, end splitting feathers, but now, i am not sure if it's a disese or the birds behavior, it has a bald spot on its chest !!! i could see the ends of the feather, but not the rest of them. Hi foxfai,

I hope you get an answer to your question but you might also want to try a site that is devoted to cage birds. The main thrust of this site is wild birds.

Sometimes caged birds get bored and actually pluck their own feathers. Not sure if that is what is happening with yours. Good luck.

Take it to the vet. If you're concerned about it, that's the least you can do. If it's nothing, then at least you know from someone who is qualified to tell you. If it is something, then they will best know how to deal with it.

Before you purchase any animal you should have read up on it and know all about the different conditions it must have to be happy. However it is possibly because the bird is bored. Do all birds a favour next time and don't buy one unless you have found out in depth information on the bird or any other animal for that fact.
Please treat your bird kindly and read up about that particular species of bird
