I spent 3 days on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon National Park observing condors.

On 4/28, saw only 2 birds on rocks near the rim;
on 4/29 saw 9 both sitting and soaring;
but on 4/30 saw at least 13+ different birds coming over the rim hotels in waves of 4-6 birds for over an hour for a total of 50-60 sightings.

binoculars- Leica 10+15 Duovids.

Sounds very interesting. I watched in California for Conders, but saw none.
The people in CA told me Grand Canyon should be a good place for Conders.
Maybe next year i will go to Grand Canyon ( I will combine it with Salton Sea ).

I think that the recommended times to go to the Grand Canyon for condors is march to july. My april trip was more productive than a previous early june visit. I went once in november and saw none (they were reported to be wintering in upper Utah
