Hi
I am staying in Sennen Cove all next week and was wondering if nightingales were around west cornwall at all or will I be too far west...Any help would be appreciated. Cheers.

No Nightingales in Cornwall or Devon. You will find them in Dorset and Somerset though. Roger

Nightingale is a rare bird in Cornwall with only 55 records up to the end of 2006. The only breeding record was of a pair in 1940, although singing males have been noted on a few occasions.
