Viewing Nef files in Windows

Dear All,

I saw a reference in a recent post to a codec to enable NEF files to be viewed in Windows.

Please could someone suggest where I can find this codec? Also, am I right in thinking this would allow NEF files to be viewed in Windows picture viewer?

Hi Andrew,

Taking a look at this link, the software version shown is dated as 2005. The camera coverage is therefore well outdated.
Do you know if there is a more up to date version?
