Strange coloring in this Ruby?

Two shots taken within minutes of each other just before sunset. I don't ever remember seeing this much white in the area below the gorget. Or does it look normal to you? The rest of the bird looks fine as far as coloring.

Well, it looks to be within the normal color range for Ruby-throat to me. I think it's just the way the light hits the white and makes it more prominent. Beautiful bird.

The way he's stretching his neck will also make the white "bib" more prominent.
