Anyone else seen this Garganey in Regent's Park? It hangs out with the pinioned ducks (including several Garganey) but is unringed, fully winged and can certainly fly. Supposedly it's a genuinely wild bird, but can anyone confirm if this really is considered to be the case?

It can give really good views but anyone going for it should be aware that it sometimes hides in the inaccessible area with the captive ducks. I've never seen a wildfowl collection where you can't actually get that close to a lot of the birds; presumably this is due to the preponderance of dog walkers.

Also saw two Ruddy Duck on the main lake, and adult male and a young male. The adult at least is fully winged but the presence of another Oxyura duck (not sure which one) on the main lake made me unsure of the status of these birds. Does anyone know if they are wild?
