It's time to upgrade from my Fuji Finepix F10 and I'm not sure where to start, except that I'd like to be using 10mp instead of my current 6.3. Not sure what else would be benficial but a quick shutter release and a large screen which can be viewed in sunlight would be good.

As for the current set up I'm hand-holding to an Opticron EF80 but plan to upgrade the 'scope next year. I'm also using a Canon DSLR 100-400mm (at times) so most digiscoped subjects will be at quite long range. Oh yes, budget - no more than about £250 I think.

Thanks in advance!

Jhanlon,

read the review of the Samsung NV100HD written by top WP Lister Richard Bonser who wrote about it in Birdwatch and rated it very highly indeed. The test was conducted using an Opticron ES80 GA ED. So I'm sure this review will be of interest to you

thanks Chris. Samsung certainly looks good. Any other models widely recommended so I can compare?
