Can someone tell me if a visit is still worthwhile as late as 14 - 20 July?
Thanks, Marcus

I did the landing on Inner Farne in July once, and there wasn't much to see at all. Still a few nesting shags, guillemots, kittiwakes etc, and terns are still around in smaller numbers, but not a sniff of a puffin. Seals are still on show too. Still a beautiful place and I expect there's the chance of stuff turning up, but probably best to go in the next couple of weeks if you're wanting photo opportunities.

By the end of July there are very few terns remaining. Puffins start to depart in the last week of July (although in 2008, there were plenty of birds still present on 29th).

Hopefully it is - I'm in Seahouses for a week w/c 18 July & looking to do the full day trip at some point that week.

Doing the day tour on Saturday so would appreciate any local info on what to do before and/or after the tour. Druridge/Cresswell looks good for late afternoon but any suggestions for the morning? We need to be at Seahouses for 09:00 and I think the tide will be out before we sail so is Budle Bay worth the time or is there somewhere else local with a few good birds?

East Chevington NWT seems to be doing better than Druridge/Cresswell at the moment with Marsh Harrier, Reed Warbler, up to ten Little Gull & Roseate Tern all reported in the last seven days.

Yes:t: I used to take school parties there in the 2nd/3rd week of July and it was still exciting. After the end of July it's a bit desolate though.
cheers
