Lock on 100-400 lens

Hi Guy's, the locking mechanism on my Canon 100-400 is lens has stopped locking, although not a major issue, it can be a pain at times. Any ideas? Mick.

I've had this problem a couple of times. First - under guarantee - I sent it back for a fix. This time I played around and 'fixed' it myself. What I did was turn the focus ring fully counter-clockwise. Then I rotated the zoom lock ring for ages and ages, every now and then checking whether it had 'improved'. Eventually I found a position where it locked really tight, and it's been fine ever since.
