That's not a bad price for a cleaning cloth.

Go for it. I paid 6 times that for my Nikon Travelite V, and it is "extremely unlikely" that this could be 6 times worse.

LOL, just grab those binos and try and look across the street. If you can see the stop sign, you got your money's worth! Just made my day

LOL It does beg the question, is there a price under which bins are simply not worth buying.
And also how long it'll take for the focus knob to come loose 3:-)

I've got the 10x25s from Aldi but without compass, had them about 2yrs with no probs. But I suppose you can't brag to the birder who's stood next to you and it seems to a lot of people thats what its all about. You've seen the msgs, got so many hundred pounds to spend which binocs shall I get. Don't knock them till you've tried them. Will be at Marbury tomorrow with my trusty Aldis.

RayE, that's interesting, I've had two pairs of bins from Aldi(12x50 and 20x50), one of which pretty much fell apart, the other we still have but the focussing wheel is now both grungy and loose after minimal useage. And the image quality is poor. Both pairs cost maybe double compared to this new offering.
Shall check out the 10 x 25's and judge for myself.

I've only bought one pair of full size binoculars from Aldis but really they were to heavy, had arms like a navvy after about 10mins of use hahaha. I have never had problems with the pocket size ones. I have two pairs the 10 x 25 and the 12 x 32. Must admit though when you see binoculars with a compass on them it does make them look a bit like a toy.

They come in two-tone green, or silver & black.
They work, honest, though did have some problem getting the dioptre adjustment focussed, but managed a satisfactory (for £6.99) image. Could read a sign at the front of the strore from the back of the store, and importantly are small enough to fit in my pocket.
So...bought two pairs to take to archery (no not for target practiceo:D) as they'll be ideal for seeing where arrows hit at a distance, and at that price I won't be worrying about losing or bashing them etc.
Hey, and a nice cleaning cloth:t:

I've had 2 pairs of the compact 12x32....the only part that fell off was the piece of plastic under the focusing wheel and for what I have used them for they were ok (shoved in my luguage in an aircraft hold). Given a choice I would have bought something better but the first pair got lost so if I had bought a more expensive pair I would have been 'quite' annoyed. The one thing I would say is that they don't like being exposed to rapid extremes of temperature.....as I found out when the lost pair turned up after being in the car after 12+ month......everything had a halo when using them....
But I tried them today and they seemed OK again.....for less than a tenner you can't complain....the same can't be said for the aldi zoom binos if you pay full price.....I didn't so for £7.50 I learnt a very valuable lesson....zoom binos may sound good but........
going back to the 12x32s I have seen the same thing badged up as Meade....Meade make good astro scopes...............but that doesn't mean they make good binos so they don't...its some third party

I keep my 10x25s in the kitchen, for watching in the garden. Had a bit of a moment with my 12x32s, my favourites. Getting ready to go out, dropped them on the kitchen floor but they stayed in one piece phew. Picked them up and they had gone loose, the two barrels?. Took the two little rubber stoppers off and saw the two screws, tightend them slightly, jobs a good un

Took them to archery and my wife & I both thought they were no good at 40 yards or more(and we wanted to use them from 40-100 yards), can't easily distinguish details/colour of arrow nocks on the target at any distance. May be OK for garden watching, but not for any distance.
My ten year old likes messing with them though - they're just her size:t:

Well one pair of the Aldi 10 x 25 didn't even last the month, it now has a bad double image. Neither pair have been used more than once a week and not abused in any way.
Shall take it back and swap it for a couple of jars of feta cheese in oil.
