It came out last year but not the dearest lens made as canon made one to order a 1200mm f5.6 that cost $89,579 they didn't sell many lol.also check this link out theres even more lol.http://lens-reviews.com/Exotic-Lenses/Content/Exotic-lenses/Exotic-lenses.html although both the canon and nikon are discontinued now.

I can remember many years ago going to a video equipment exhibition in Olympia. Canon had a photo on their stand of a 100x zoom for the TV cameras of that time. it was capable of zooming in to show the logos/laces on a football taken from high up in the stands. The Canon man at the show said it was available to special order for approx £90,000.00
