I need a Competent repair person .I have two pair of Bushnell wide angle Rangemaster binoculars which the manufacturer says they dont have parts for.

You might try Nicolas Crista, who works on all brands of binoculars. Also very good prices, with minimum delay. If it's worth doing he can also fabricate parts when needed.

Usually Bushnell is very good about repairing or replacing the unit, unless it's been run over with the mower or some such. I've sent in numerous binos over the last 10yrs with a check for $10 (for return shipping) and they've sent the unit back in good order, if it was repairable. They did a bang-up job on a 35 yr old Zephyr that was completely frozen up...on a 20yr old 8x40 ensign bought on ebay, advertised as in good cond and was basically a goner, they sent a new replacement (tho a 7x50, as no 8x40 was available). They've just notified me they're sending me a new 7x26 Custom (E2?) for one that had step collimation trouble.

In short, I find their repair facility the best of all optics compaines, bar none, which is one reason I've had (and still have) a lot of their products.

Failing that, you might contact Cory Suddarth (Suddarth Optical on the Web). He has a MK 5 collimator and worked several yrs with Bill Cook at Captain's Nautical....quite a recommendation.
